Twin Blades – introduction

Shimei: Wake up, brother! Wake up!

*Kazumei jumps out of bed*

Kazumei: What’s wrong? *Checks alarm clock* (4:36AM)

Kazumei: It is 4 am in the morning, Shimei! Why would you wake me up at a time like th–

Shimei: Mom is laying on the floor downstairs! Please help her!

*Kazumei grabs his two sharp iron knives and runs downstairs*

(Kazumei observes the quiet first floor of his house.)

Shimei: I saw her lying on the floor, and there was blood! *Shimei starts to whimper and cry*

Kazumei: Be quiet, I need it to be silent. *Kazumei looks around the house, walking slowly towards the living room.*

(Kazumei is in total shock)

Kazumei: Mother? *Kazumei runs to the bleeding corpse of his mother*

(Silence breaks over the household)

Shimei: W-what are we going to do?

(Kazumei grips his Twin Blades even tighter and walks outside to the front door, which was wide open)

*Kazumei looks around, and finds nothing, except for a blood stain on the grass, and a note*

(The worried boy picks up the note and reads it carefully)

“Hi, son. I know you’re the one reading this note. I know you might have just seen your mother dead on the floor, but I promise I didn’t do it because I wanted to. I can’t tell you everything, but I have been initiated in a dark cult that forces fathers to kill their family one by one. I have been forced to kill your mother. I’m so sorry, just keep you and your sister safe, please.”

A shining tear drops from Kazumei’s eye.
